Mr. Bouffard joined Prime Capital Investment Advisors as Managing Director of Wealth Management in February 2019. Mr. Bouffard will be intimately involved in the development and evolution of Prime Capital Wealth Management’s business strategies. His responsibilities will include developing the Prime Capital Wealth Management brand, its go-to-market strategies, overall investment philosophy, wealth management service offerings, lead generation functions, and advisor/client communications strategies.

Previously, Mr. Bouffard was hired as the Chief Investment Officer of The Mutual Fund Store (TMFS) in January of 2013. In January 2016, TMFS was purchased by Financial Engines (FE) and in July 2018 Financial Engines was purchased Hellman & Friedman (H&F) private equity and subsequently merged with Edelman Financial Services (EFS), another H&F property, to become Edelman Financial Engines (EFE). Mr. Bouffard served as Managing Director at Financial Engines and continued his responsibilities directing the approximately $14 billion in legacy Mutual Fund Store retail client assets through December 31, 2018 when he left the firm. Those duties included investment manager due diligence, managing the firm’s asset allocation models, economic & capital market research, and supporting the retail Financial Engines branch store advisors to deliver the best guidance possible for clients.

Prior to joining TMFS Mr. Bouffard was Vice President of Portfolio Research at American Century Investments (ACI). In addition to directing competitive analysis, capital market research, and investment decision support, he served as a member of the Investment Oversight Committee and as chairman of the American Century Retirement Committee. Preceding his tenure at ACI he was Manager of Closed-End Fund Products and Research at Lipper in Denver, CO.

He is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute, and a member, as well as Past President, of the CFA Society of Kansas City. Mr. Bouffard graduated from The University of Vermont.
